![]() ![]() My guess is going to be, yes, Diana did share barrels on some guns and might still be doing so. Then those with a 34 close to the same time post theirs. Anyone with an old 45 post the compression tube date and s/n. We can make a bit of a comparison to see if this might be true. Could sales have been that brisk? This got me to wondering if all those barrels were used on the 45 or perhaps they were shared with the 34? Makes some sense from a manufacturing perspective. Seems like a lot of 45's, especially as this was a very expensive Diana at the time. My 09 87 is around 588,000 while a gun from almost a year later is in the 630,000's, a span of maybe 40,000 guns. ![]() This prompted a couple of us to haul out our guns and check s/n's. We were discussing old model 45's over on the GTA and a reference was made about a supposed transition to synthetic seals around a certain serial number. (So glad to see those Chinese barrels didn't bother you, Tom. (Are current 34 and 350 barrels the same dimensions? Remember the Chinese barrels?)Now that we have THAT out of the way, let's proceed. ![]() ![]()
